One Page More! E03: Fun Home & Cameron Post

one-page-more-2

Remember I still make these? Remember me? ‘Tis I, a tiny awkward person trying to podcast! Here I am with another episode of One Page More! in which I talk about YA, musicals, and social issues. This episode I discuss two things I like a lot — the graphic novel and musical Fun Home, and the book The Miseducation of Cameron Post.

Er, yeah. *hides* I hope you enjoy, as ever, and if you want to guest then let me know! (I super need to sort out guest things for the next few episodes, so.)

Some parts of this make me cringe slightly, and I wish I had phrased them differently, so SORRY ABOUT THAT. Also, every time I talked about queer stuff I either said it a) very quietly or b) too fast because my mum was in the other room and y’know, not out to the parents yet and all that jazz.

how are you? have you read/listened to either of these?

One Page More! EO3: Fantastic Things About Fantastic Beasts

I PROMISE YOU, I’M STILL MAKING THESE. Even though I slightly broke my schedule. But I’ll hopefully be back for real next month! Life and NaNo have just both been really getting to me and I haven’t had much time to blog or comment as much as I’d like to which makes me sad.

But today I have something which is making me happy! As I’m sure many of you know, the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was released this month and I ACTUALLY REMEMBERED TO BUY TICKETS FOR IT WHOOP. Today I’m delighted to be chatting about it to the wonderful Em @ Adventures of a Lost Teen! ❤ The episode begins with some expectations we did at the start of the month — haha, mostly me talking at length because nervous — and then we talked about our actual feelings post-film.

Sorry for the patchy quality of my own audio at times in this one; believe me, I too am pained by it. Next month I'll remember to find my dictaphone beforehand. 😛 But I did compose a new jingle for you guys so look out for that. 🙂

Just a warning: the second part does contain some spoilers if you haven’t seen the movie haha, so please do beware! And as ever, I really hope you enjoy.

Although sometimes doing this whole podcast thing makes me a little anxious, I think it’s been really great for me and I’ve had a lot of fun doing the episodes so far. I really appreciate anyone who’s actually listening to them! And of course if you fancy guesting them please let me know. 😀

One Page More! E02: Crooked Kingdom & Other Heist Books

One more book, one more page…one page more!

And THE SECOND EPISODE HAS LANDED. This one was an absolute blast to record, and it ended up being longer than the first one haha. One Page More! is a monthly podcast in which I and other bookish/bloggerly guests talk about YA, musicals, and social issues. This episode involves a lot of flailing about Crooked Kingdom and various other cool heist books. (There is a spoilery section for Crooked Kingdom at the end, so DON’T GO THERE IF YOU HAVEN’T READ IT. I say this about 20 times during the actual podcast but I seriously don’t want to spoil stuff for people, because that sucks immensely.)

As ever, I’d love to hear your feedback! I do hope that you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making this. And if you do think you might like to feature in a future then episode then please let me know — it would be fabulous to have you. 😀

One Page More! E01: Politics & Government in YA

One more book, one more page…one page more!

*punches the air in enthusiasm* I’m so excited to finally be sharing with you guys my new podcast. 😀 (Yes. Podcast. EXCITING TIMES.) One Page More! is a monthly podcast in which I  — along with various bookish and bloggerly guests — talk about YA, musicals, and social issues. Essentially, as I so eloquently put, all the things that I love. 😛 We’ll hopefully be covering all sorts from new releases to particular topics and random chatter. For the inaugural episode, I was joined by the wonderful Elly @ A Hufflepuff’s Thoughts and Victoria @ Doodles and Scraps to discuss politics & government in YA. Go forth and listen, my friends!

I do hope that you enjoy, and I also hope that this will continue to grow and develop as I work on it. I have a lot of things to learn — okay, next time I seriously do need to say ‘like’ and ‘um’ less — but I’m excited to be sharing flailings with you in a different format. (Also compose another jingle.

Also: I’m on the lookout for people to guest with me, so if you think that would be your cup of tea then do give a shout by commenting below; I’d love to hear from you! 😀
