Delobbi, Sleepover and Studio Ghibli

Eve- Today, the Sleepover of Awesomeness with Anna and Eve culminates. We have some pictures of Delobbi (Delilah/Dobby) to share with you. Delobbi are ducks. DID YOU HEAR THAT? ANNA HAS DUCKS IN HER POOL! ISN’T THAT AWESOMELY AWESOME??!!??!!

Except we think Delilah and Dobby might have broken up, because Delilah has just disappeared. Though she might just be hiding in the tree…we’ll give you an update soon. For now, be content wth these pictures of Delobbi.
Anna- I think Eve might be just a touch hyper. It might have something to do with the several Nutella/banana/sugar pancake combination we had at breakfast. Or not.
Eve- Anyway, have you ever typed in a bunch of random letters and seen what spellcheck comes up with? It’s fun. Look:
Anyway colicky Ivor urn pakeha rsem x Ewan oxides jvodhem
See? It’s fun. You should try it.
Anna- But on a way, way, awesomer note, we went to see The Wind Rises with our friends. It came out only last Friday, and it is the last Studio Ghibli film by Hayao Miyazaki.
Eve – And it was SOO sad! It was very different from other Ghibli movies like My Neighbour Totoro and Porco Rosso. At the beginning, the boy kept having dreams in dreams in dreams (maybe the whole thing was just a dream) and it was very confusing. It was Ghibliception. But it was an EPIC film. The use of ‘epic’ in that sentence doesn’t mean ‘great’, by the way, it means ‘long and meaningful’. Or something. Think Lord of the Rings.
Anna- I kept crying at the end, and sneaking glances at the people sitting next to me, just to make sure I was the only only bawling. I wasn’t. Eve came over to my house afterwards, and we basically just watched Merlin, ate popcorn and sweets for the entire time. I personally was not complaining, even when we had to talk in whispers because my brothers were alseep- no! Delobbi!
Delobbi has disappeared. A sad day for all.
Eve- NO, DELOBBI, NO! Delilah, you have to come back! Actually, we’ve just been told Delilah is in the tree. Delobbi hasn’t broken up after all.

Bye, Anna x

An Introduction to Anna (with extras by Apple)

Apple: Hello, people of the world. This post is going to be mostly written by my awesome friend who blogs over at Paint.the.Sky. She is going to share some of her mind with you.

I’m just testing this guest post thing out, but I’m hoping to make it a regular feature so if you just send me an email/comment then perhaps we could we you up here! And now, I shall pass the baton on to Anna…

Anna: I’m not good at introductions. I think that goes without saying for me. Whenever I guest blog (i.e- never) I’m pretty much like this;

“OK. Right, I’m going to ace this. When I’m done, my/this blog is going to have 1,000,000,000,000 views. Or something with a lot of zeros…”

Ten minutes later

“What should I say? Hi? Hello? How many exclamation marks should I put? Or does that make me sound like I’m permanently hyper? Sorry, I’ll rephrase- more permanently hyper. Meh, my grammar is evidently dying. Oooh, ‘evidently’ is a good word.”  And why on earth am I talking to myself? *Thumps head against desk*

Etc. You know, that doesn’t really put me in a very good light. Phhhhtttt, dignity? Nah.

Basically, I’m Anna, Apple’s friend and completely insane companion.

Phew, I need to lie down. Anyways, hi and goodbye!

Safety in jumpers (and other habits) + update

Hey everyone! I haven’t posted in ages, I’m really sorry, but I’ll be getting back to a normal schedule this week. I know people have been wondering about the second part of the drugstore reviews, bath stuff and skincare, so I’ll try and get down to that soon.

Anyway, today’s topic is on some weird and, in some cases, maybe a bit evil habits. The first is on the safety I find in jumpers, and my slightly-out-of-style-but-super-warm uniqlo coat.
Even if I’m not that cold, I feel like my jumper is like a shell, or armour. It makes me more confident. And the coat? Well, if I wear it into the canteen at break then it kind of flaps out and looks like a film/advert. I’m just like ‘oh, yeah. I have an awesome long coat and all you have is a cardigan.’ Except I don’t actually say that.

The jumper in question.

Secondly, and I’m really scared because this is a bit perverted, if it’s a really upsetting or sad or angering subject then I’ll actually smile. I feel so bad, because I also do it if someone gets in trouble or something but I just can’t stop it. I wish I wouldn’t do it, but it’s a bit like breathing. I can’t help myself.

And next, the irrational feeling that I have to arrange all the small things in my bedside table before I go to sleep but to leave the rest of the room a tip. I have too many lip balms on there…

And an update! I mentioned quite a lot of things at the top of the post, like the next part of drugstore reviews. I’ve had a busy week. My clarinet (I play the clarinet) broke.
Also, my friend Maya (who I really need to go and visit) started a blog and I wanted to give you the link: Maya’s blog! Though if you’re reading this, Maya, I would drop the text speak.

See you all soon, hopefully!

Apple xx

Note to my Friend

It’s probably going to seem really weird, that I’m writing a letter to my friend on my blog. Let me explain: today, I became a not-so-anonymous blogger! I improved on my honesty! I did something miraculous and life changing (okay, maybe not that last one so much)! And the this is how it happened:

Me: Hey. So, um, can I tell you something?
Friend: Sure.
Me: Well, I set up this blog like three months ago.
Friend: Ok. Have you been in it much?
Me: Uh, yeah. I have 50 followers.

That is the life changing conversation, condensed slightly because we were walking to the changing rooms. I was going to write ‘BF’ for best friend, but then I realised you might think that was boyfriend so that would have been misleading. Anyway. Moving on, this is basically where I tell unnamed as yet friend to not freak out and where not to look, etc. etc.

Totally unrelated hot chocolate. I needed a picture.

So. Hey, A (can I call you that? Friend isn’t exactly a common first name). Firstly, don’t freak out. I don’t have an later ego or anything, and I’m not going to turn into a ‘popular’-y person. Trust me, I’m still me.

Secondly, some of the earlier posts are no longer true and I may not has told the entire truth. Do not trust all of those. Also, preferably don’t tell the world i.e. class. I’m slightly embarrassed and I’m also used to keeping a secret. I kept CS a secret for ages, remember? I might go weird if you try and talk to me. It’s easiest for me to write it down here. Remember that.

If you wanted to do some guest blogging or something, that would be awesome. This applies to everyone (shameless advertising, I know…).

Hope you guys are all having a still-great January. I’m going on camp this weekend so might not post, but I’ll try and make up for it next week. See you soon (metaphorically)! Okay. Bad joke. You know what I mean.
