about me

Hi, I’m Eve: writer, nerd and teenage tea enthusiast. I talk a lot about books and musical theatre. They/them pronouns, please.

Sometimes I write things, but mostly I flail over things other people have written — and you can find those flailings here, along with musings on music, social justice, and whatever else I feel like discussing.

    1. No, I’d still be interested in guest bloggers (I really do need to go change my contact page now) but I haven’t actually had any guest bloggers apart from my friend Anna, so I felt like it wasn’t really doing much good just sitting there! ^^’

(I know this is unrelated, but: I’ve just found the hidden WordPress smileys. Awesomeness.)

      1. Haha, if you just search ‘wordpress hidden smilies’ and click on the top one you should get a guide to all of them!

I guess I’d be interested in posts similar to ones that I’ve written; thoughts, ramblings, books, music, kind of like the stuff that you blog. I know that wasn’t very helpful but I think I’d go with pretty much anything if I had some stuff presented to me! πŸ˜€

(By the way, I wasn’t sure if you meant to comment twice so I kept the earlier one back)

    1. πŸ™‚ Thanks, that looks like fun!
My computer is out of action at the moment so it’s hard for me to upload multiple pictures, but hopefully I’ll be posting it pretty soon.

  1. OH MY GOSH MERLIN!!!!! I love that show (note how I say love and not loved, I still re-watch it) Sherlock forever!!!!! I think I just had a massive BBC induced heart attack. This blog, I know it is one I will follow. ( also: cats!)

    1. YESS MERLIN! *high fives* (What do you think of the new Saturday night show, Atlantis?) And Sherlock! Cats!

We are obviously destined to cross paths. πŸ™‚ I shall now return the follow!

  2. Hi! It’s Bridget from Stay and Watch the Stars πŸ™‚ I just wanted to thank you for being one of my top five commenters in 2014. I hope you have a happy New Year, and thanks again!

    1. Thank you, it looks like fun! I have a couple of other tags to get through (I’m a bit lazy on that front, unfortunately) but hopefully you’ll be seeing my answers sometime soon. πŸ™‚

  3. Oh my god holy crap I could talk to you all day about merlin and Sherlock and doctor who like you don’t even know…sorry I just love those shows…anyway you seem really really awesome!

      1. DOCTOR WHO IS SO AMAZING I LOVE IT SO MUCH who’s your favorite doctor? I like 10 and 11 and then 9 but I love them all haha

  4. Hey! You followed me on twitter and so I’ve visited your awesome blog and I’ve followed! πŸ™‚

  5. “I’m a teenage girl who is socially awkward in real life, likes to drink tea, wear glasses and read books. I also like sarcasm and excessive use of smiley faces.”

You sound exactly like me! I found my twin! Except for the “drink tea” part ’cause then that would be choco-malt drink. But still…are you me? Haha! πŸ˜€

    1. YAY, TWINS! *high fives*
I will confess that I’ve never actually…tried choco malt drink? (I do like to sneak some soya chocolate, though. It’s surprisingly delicious. πŸ˜› )

    1. WE CAN HUG THROUGH THE COMPUTER SCREEN. With words. *nods*
Thank you so much! ❀ I know I'm rather late replying to your comments, but they really did make me feel so much better.

  7. I’m super sorry about how last-minute this is, but my review partner for Doctor Who s9e4 is having Internet trouble and is unable to send me her thoughts on β€œBefore the Flood.” If you want to (and have time), would you like to review that one with me? I’ll send you the link to the Google Doc where we were working – I’ve typed up almost all my thoughts there already. I would like to post the review today, but I could post it on Sunday too. Please let me know as soon as possible if you’re interested! I’m on Central time, so we can arrange a time to work on the Google Doc if you want.

(I know you were signed up for episode 6, though…)

    1. Oh, I’m really sorry this is so late in replying — if you still need me to do it I’d be very happy to. (I’m in GMT, so I don’t have a ton of time this evening, though.)

  8. Hey Eve! Firstly, let me tell you that, you’ve got such a heartwarming smile & secondly, I love your blog space. It’s just so much fun!

Happy to have found you, hope to be connected.

    Your new reader,
    Noorain
