(brackets)

Hey.

(You may have noticed my recent trend in using brackets and italicised font at the end of my post to give you updates and snippets of information. I’m kinda enjoying it.)

(In other news, it’s the vote over Scotland’s independence today. For those of you who don’t know and haven’t guessed from that summary, Scotland is voting on whether it should become independent from England.
I’m glad that I don’t have to vote.)

(You know, if you’re in a baking mood, I’m pretty sure that chocolate fridge cake is the easiest cake it’s possible to make. I made it with my friend to celebrate International Chocolate Day and it has literally four steps: crush biscuits, melt chocolate, mix, chill. It tastes great, too.)

(I’m really liking this brackets-italics thing. Trust me, it’s different from writing in non-italics-without-brackets. It has a different tone, I’m telling you. Well, ish.)

(And, as always, I shall finish by letting you know that my computer is still out of action. And it will be until further notice, so I might have to stop leaving you these notes.)

(That makes me sad.)

  1. Haha, you’re right – there’s definitely something aesthetically appealing about italics and brackets, isn’t there? In case you haven’t heard already, the “no” vote won – Scotland’s staying with England. Not quite sure how I feel about that, to be honest – on one hand, I’m slightly disappointed that they didn’t just go for it, since there probably won’t be another chance for awhile, but on the other it’s probably much more economically wise to stay with England. I don’t know – I’m not Scottish, so my opinion certainly isn’t as valid, but it’s interesting to think about the possibilities.

… and I’m rambling again, aren’t I? 😉 I’ll sign off now – I do hope you enjoyed your cake, and I hope your computer is fixed soon! xx

    • Yes, we had the TV switched on bright and early Friday morning to check the result!
I’m also kind of disappointed – it would have been pretty exciting if Scotland went independent – but also very relieved. I have some family up there, and I don’t want us to split!

My cake was indeed excellent, thank you, and my computer actually is now fixed, hooray! Although it does mean that I no longer have a valid excuse to put my little notes in. Ah, well. I’m sure something else will go wrong soon! 🙂

  2. Hahaha, I love using brackets, and hyphens, italicised/bold/strikeout text in my post. Oh and colours, lets not forget colours! XD And now I’m craving cake. Probably time I get off my butt and buy some stuff (namely chocolate for this HoF book hangover) haha.

I can’t seem to comment on your Harry Potter Spellbook tag for some reason, though I think that may be because my computer is acting up! What I meant to comment on there was firstly, ToG – THE FEELS. SO MANY DIFFERENT FEELS. ❤ and that I've heard sooo much about Fangirl – I think I'm going to buy it on Audiobook! 😀 Great post (both this and your other one, of course dear!)

A penny for your thoughts?
